Product Review: Vixen VixSkin Mustang Royale
/It’s a mouthful.
This, my friends, is one expensive cock. Retailing at an eye watering £109, the Royale is not a purchase to be taken lightly. Specifically designed for strap on play, Vixen adapted their popular Mustang model to give it a ‘saddle’ base- providing extra comfort and control for the wearer. But is it really worth the same amount of money as fifteen Margaritas?
First off, it’s not the most attractive object. The shaft itself (available in three different shades,) is realistic' and the whole silhouette is dominated by this ominous purple base. It’s fairly hefty in size too at 8 inches in length (7in insertable) and a circumference of almost 5 inches at it’s widest point.
Lets talk about this VixSkin situation because really, that’s what makes this product. It refers to the fact that the shaft has a solid core but a more flexible silicone outer layer- meaning it’s dexterity is closer to the real deal than most. I can appreciate the apprehension of opting for a realistic model, but honestly- this time it’s worth it.
From a receiving stand point, VixSkin compresses to fill you out and shape itself to you, whereas toys made from standard silicone can feel somewhat intrusive. Of course anything you invade your body with is going to be intrusive but VixSkin doesn’t ask you to shape yourself around it- it works with you. The head is made entirely from this softer material, making it a more enjoyable ride when used with any gusto and the shaft itself can bend substantially while bouncing back into its normal shape. When used for strap on play, this makes nearly every position more comfortable for both wearer and receiver.
The ‘saddle’ is essentially a large base of harder silicone, moulded so that it sits snugly against your lady business and will create pressure against your clit. But isn’t pressure usually created anyway? I hear you ask. Well, yes. Being perfectly honest, it’s not so much the moulding of the base that helps- more so the thickness of it. It causes the insertable length to be held further out from your body. What this means is that as the wearer, you have greater control because it takes less effort to reach full penetration. It also means that the pressure on your clit, while not earth shattering or really any different to using a toy with a regular flared base, is more constant. The depth of the base will cause strain in the front of your harness, which should already be fairly snug, meaning it’s forced against you constantly due to no room for movement. Which is glorious.
The only real downside to this toy is the price. However, Vixen do make the Mustang without a saddle base but still employing VixSkin which runs slightly cheaper (pictured right.) It will work in a harness just fine and there are varieties so something there for everyone. Another “downside” might be the size. This base model is called Mustang for a reason and won’t be up everyone’s alley. However, if you are looking to size up, the flexibility of the material makes it a good choice to ease into.
Pros: Pretty much everything, yo. I mean, I want it in galaxy print but I’ll live.
Cons: You might have have to sell a kidney to afford one.
